What the piece is made of
Wool
A natural fibre that insulates by trapping air, regulates humidity and resists creasing. It is what lets a coat hold its shape over years rather than seasons.
Cashmere
The undercoat of the cashmere goat — finer and lighter than wool for the same warmth. Softer to the touch, and more demanding in care.
Cupro lining
A regenerated cellulose fibre made from cotton linter. It breathes better than polyester and slides over the shoulder, which is why it is used to line tailoring.
Made to be kept
Washing
Follow the care line in the Details of this product. Wool and cashmere are dry clean only; cotton and linen pieces machine wash cold.
Drying
Never tumble dry knitwear. Dry flat on a towel, away from a radiator or direct sun, to keep the shape.
Pressing
Press on the reverse, on the lowest setting the fabric allows. Steam rather than press on wool.
Storing
Fold knitwear rather than hanging it — a hanger stretches the shoulders. Hang coats and tailoring on a wide hanger.
